Instant Messaging – Be Warned!

I`m going to talk a bit about this thing called Instant Messaging…

I bet that it is being used by the shy guys to pick-up women. Don`t get me wrong, it`s ok to use it, but it has TONS of risks/disadvantages.
Over Instant Messaging you might get a wrong opinion about a person – you might conclude that the person is better/worse than it is in reality. But this is just the part where YOU make conclusions…

Remember that if you ask a woman a question over instant messaging you might never get a reply, which is unlikely in the real world. If she answers with delays/laggy , you might get the false impression that she is not really interested in you. OK, she might not be interested in you, or simply she might have  a laggy connection or other stuff to do around her room.

To take another example, you might have a GREAT conversation with a certain woman one night over Instant Messaging, and the night ahead she might reject you completely, not answering to yout flirts like she did one day ago. I cannot tell you why, but this is really happening. But if you talked to her in real life, this would never have happened. Or even it did (lets presume),  her body language would have given you a reason.

Take this little story: You talked to a hottie over IM, you flirted with her and she flirted back. Everything was so brilliant, you feel like you`re a genius. Ok genius, now what? You kiss her? HOW ??? (believe me, it doesn`t work kissing the monitor.) Let`s presume that you set up a date. When you meet her in real life she might be shocked by your real looks/personality.
Now that would be sooo cool!

As a conclusion, I recommend NOT USING INSTANT MESSAGING FOR FLIRTING. Instead of asking a woman her IM ID, you should better ask her for her phone number and set up a date OVER THE PHONE. The flirting should be done face-to-face.
You may use Instant Messaging if you are too shy to talk face-to-face or you really don`t have the opportunity to meet her for real, but always be ready for a great dissappointment.
